Adjunct Japanese Professor Overland Park Main Campus
The Foreign Language department is seeking a Japanese adjunct professor to substitute and/or teach Elementary and Intermediate level Japanese language courses in the evening on Zoom or in person. JCCC is located in Overland Park, KS, the second largest city in the state of Kansas and part of the greater Kansas City Metro. The Kansas City Metro is known for its museums, restaurants, and music and art scenes. JCCC is similarly dedicated to creating and maintaining a rich cultural community, with an award-winning contemporary art museum and center for the performing arts located on campus. The Foreign Language Department is part of the Communications Division. Many of our students are non-traditional, military veterans, immigrants, international and first-generation college students. JCCC has a diverse student population and is dedicated to increasing its diversity. The successful applicant for this job will teach the equivalent of 5-10 credit hours per semester in Japanese or will serve as a substitute for day and/or evening courses. This person will perform other duties expected of adjunct faculty, to include collaborating and working successfully with other full-time and adjunct faculty in the Foreign Language department and other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities: Provide extra and co-curricular opportunities for Japanese language students. Participate in the planning and administration of all departmental initiatives. Participate in on-campus events promoting languages. Complete ACTFL and/or other departmental training. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Plumbing Instructor Adjunct Overland Park Main Campus
The Plumbing Technology program is seeking qualified candidates for Adjunct Assistant Professor to teach such topics as plumbing theory, print reading, residential and commercial plumbing and plumbing code. Most courses include laboratory and lecture sections, and are offered during the evening hours.
Maintenance Mechanic, HVAC Overland Park Main Campus
Install and maintain the mechanical and electrical components of the heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems, such as motors, compressors, pumps, fans, ducts, pipes, thermostats, and switches for Johnson County Community College (JCCC). Install, maintain, and troubleshoot errors on campus fire alarm systems and devices.

ELL instructor West Park (WPK)
JCCC is searching for non-credit instructors to teach English to non-native speakers by emphasizing reading, vocabulary development, listening, speaking, writing and grammar in a student-centered classroom environment at JCAE locations. Please note that these positions are not located on the main JCCC campus. They are located at our West Park and Center of Grace locations. These positions are for an ELL instructor, not adjunct positions. * Create and submit weekly lesson plans, utilizing the digital template provided, to the building lead. * Learn and implement the required curriculum that emphasizes life skills, workplace skills, digital literacy, civics/citizenship and more. . * Access and utilize the JCAE ELL website and other online resources to teach in a classroom setting. * Maintain student data, attendance records and other online resources to teach in a classroom setting. * Conference with learners at the beginning and end of the semester to discuss goals and growth. * Participate in new student intake onboarding such as registration, orientation, and testing. * Participate in staff development activities both online and in-person each semester. * Completing all JCCC annual mandatory training and administrative requirements, as well as additional onboarding requirements for JCAE new teachers. These requirements may involve account setup, website access, lesson plan training, LMS training, data entry, and other tasks to prepare for the class. * Access email regularly and read Weekly Updates to stay informed of expectations and upcoming events. * Work with the building lead to schedule a formal observation. This will be followed by a debrief, and a follow up observation to confirm that recommendations have been implemented. * Fill-in periodically for other teachers. Daytime and Evening shifts available.
Clinical Assistant Professor - RC Olathe Health Education Center (OHEC)
Respiratory Care lab and simulation instruction on basic respiratory care knowledge and skills, neonatal/pediatric respiratory care, airway management, mechanical ventilation, and critical care patient management.
Police Officer Overland Park Main Campus
Provide law enforcement and public safety services to the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) community. This includes enforcement of criminal statutes with full arrest authority, parking and traffic enforcement, crime prevention, patrol activity, accident investigation, resolution of domestic and other disturbances, prosecution support, non-criminal public safety services, and enforcement of college policies, rules, and regulations.
Director, Hospitality Management Overland Park Main Campus
The director is responsible for the five Hospitality Management programs at JCCC, including compliance with local, state, and professional education accreditation agencies. The director facilitates student matriculation, oversees program staffing, fosters positive internal and external stakeholder relationships, coordinates didactic and experiential curricula, manages resources, and provides leadership for the overall health and welfare of the program.
Motorcycle Instructor Overland Park Main Campus
The MSF Rider Coach is responsible for participant learning in the classroom and on the training range for the basic rider and the experienced rider course in accordance with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) standards. Responsibilities include classroom and range instruction, supervision of a range aide, and assuring safety standards are maintained. Instructors must maintain required certifications.

Lab Technician, MFAB Overland Park Main Campus
The PT laboratory technician will work with other part-time and full-time lab techs at the direction of the Chair of the MFAB department. The task will include preparing materials, maintaining equipment and ordering supplies. These duties help to create a safe organized working environment and allows the various night instructors that use the lab more time with the students. This will be one of two PT lab technicians.
