Part-time instructor for various drafting courses within the program. Instructor should be able to identify and apply the essential, basic skills of drafting. Program Director, Johnson County Adult Education Overland Park Main Campus
Establish, maintain, promote, and continuously improve Johnson County Adult Education (JCAE) programs to meet the needs of adult students and the local workforce. Program components include Adult Basic Education, General Education Development (GED) Test Preparation, Career Technical Education, English language skills including knowledge of U.S. civics and culture, digital literacy, and general college and workforce/career readiness. Most programs are grant funded, some with government grants and others with foundation and other private grants; each grant carries different requirements, obligations, agency relationships, and accountabilities, which are continuously evolving. Collectively, adult education programs serve on average about 1400 students per year at six primary program locations as well as at ancillary locations (employer locations, Corrections, etc.). The position is responsible for approximately 70 instructional and office staff members and about 150 classroom volunteers.
