Adjunct Assistant Professor, Electronics Technology Overland Park Main Campus
The JCCC Electronics Technology department is seeking part-time (adjunct) instructors to teach courses in analog and digital electronics. Our program prepares students to work as electronic technicians. All our coursework combines classroom and hands-on laboratory experiences; critical thinking skills emphasized include troubleshooting and analysis. Our digital electronics sequence covers a wide range of topics including binary and hexadecimal number systems, basic Boolean algebra, logic gates, registers, flip-flops, computer architecture, microprocessors, microcontrollers, embedded programming concepts, and analog/digital interfacing. The sequence culminates in a capstone experience where students implement a unique digital system centered around a microcontroller. Applicants wishing to teach in the digital sequence must possess a strong knowledge of digital electronics and current computer architecture, especially embedded systems, along with practical experience in programming languages (assembly to C++) and development environments. Analog and mixed signal skills are essential.
